and I'm so excited about it!!!!
I have decided to steer my business away from Columbus. I am so sick of driving to Columbus and I havent even done it that much. lol. I am steering my business more toward Parkersburg/Marietta, and even Ripley/Ravenswood. I realized that I am driving sometimes an hour and a half to Columbus, when I would love it so much more, if I were driving to Wva. I can even see some family when I'm there.
I have also decided to try to get more high school seniors. I have come upon a marketing plan that I think is really going to work. It is so far, anyway. I had my first shoot down in Pburg Saturday. That was so fun! I was seeing Pburg in a whole new way. It's like I never saw it when I was growing up there. Now I am back there trying to find new spots for shoots, and having a world of fun. I am really, really excited about where my new business plan is going to take me.
Here's Tanika...at an old hotel in downtown Pburg that Scott and I have been talking about for years. We wish someone would fix it up, its so neat looking, but now, I hope they dont, cuz it is a great place for shoots.

She brought her dog...I kinda like this one...
Then we walked to some neat old RR cars...
When Scott saw this picture, he thought it was neat that I found sorta the same wall and brown window thingy that I had used in the preacher's daughter's pics. I hadnt even noticed.
This was at an old, vacant bank..
Some closeups...
I cant figure out whether I like this one or not...
I def dont like this one, except for the mood, which is the only reason I'm showing it I guess lol.
Quality-wise, it pretty much sucks. Urg. I was losing light fast here.
Anyway, I had a great time and it is always fun to have a pretty model and so exciting for me to be back in Pburg doing business, which is something I never, ever thought would happen!!!

When Mom and Holly came up for Ella's birthday, Mom brought these hats that she knitted for S&E. They are so cute and make for a great photo shoot. So one day while they were here, we walked to downtown Zville, and took some pics.
These are def my favorite pics of the kids in a while.

I'm getting you back for cheating on meeeeeeeee..............BWAAHHHAHAAAAHAAAAAAAAAA........
Yesterday, Scott had to go up to the Lodi store for a few hours, so at the last minute, I decided to tag along and see what I could get myself into. Well, the kids and I ended up having quite the little adventure.
There is this old, abandonded amusement park up near Lodi, that I have been wanting to see for a while. So after getting lost about 15 times, I finally found it. lol. The kids and I had to climb through a hole in the fence and keep a very low profile, cuz I was really worried about getting caught, but we had so much fun.
Here are the pics......The first coaster...I think I read where it was called the 'Big Dipper'...
I was wondering if it is the same roller coaster that is at Camden Park in Wva, cuz its name is the 'Big Dipper' too, but I am not sure. Mom, do ya remember when Scotty called it 'The Big Diaper'? lolol.

The 'Little Dipper' ....

The ferris wheel... neat huh?
And Mom's favorite ride - the tilt-a-whirl...I get sick just looking at it...

Some pretty blue flowers...
Some unknown buildings...

I think someone was hiding in this building the second time we walked past. I saw a fresh cigarrette butt on the ground that I am pretty sure wasnt there the first time, and I smelled the faint smell of cigarrette smoke. That was a little scary. This incident combined with the 2 pitbulls we saw made me decide that I am not going on any more of these expeditions without getting me some pepper spray.
Taking a break...
These are the front gates...
The dock...
I am not sure what ride this was, I think it had baskets, and you could turn them upside down.

"I'll take 2 burgers and a rootbeer!"
There were all these vehicles laying around...
Can you see it?
I'd love to go back sometime, if anyone wants to go with me. It was such a neat place. You would never know it was there, unless you knew it was there, ya know? When we crawled through the fence, I still was not sure we were at the right place, cuz you just couldnt see anything, but after a short walk back through the woods, we came upon the old concrete paths.
ps. You can find out more about the park here

Tuesday, I had a shoot with Holly, then later on, I had a shoot with the preachers 3 daughters. So much fun! I totally loved that day. I found some new spots to shoot in, and got 3 gorgeous new models for my portfolio. Here are the preacher's daughters.

I just pulled a tick off Scotty that was in the WORST POSSIBLE place for a little BOY to have a tick. I felt so sorry for him.

We walked down to the library today. (Stacie, I took your book back.) They had a book sale going on, so we bought $5 worth. I would have bought more, but we didnt want to have to carry them back home.
I like all these interesting bricks. I think I am starting a series.
Harris Brick CO Z.O. (Zanesville, Ohio)
LOL. They spelled 'Cemetery' wrong. Of course, I have been guilty of that myself.

Love these tiles. They were on a store front.
I *knew* there was some beauty in this neighborhood somewhere...

Ella has a spot on her booty that has been growing for a couple of years now. We finally took her to the doctor over it, and he wants it to come off. We've been to 2 drs now, and neither one has any idea what it is. They took a biopsy of it and sent it off to be tested and they still have no idea. They even sent it to the Mayo clinic and they have no idea. The childrens dermatologist at the Children's hospital in Columbus has no idea, she has never seen anything like it. So she decided that we need to have it taken off. We have an appointment with a plastic surgeon at Childrens on May 17 for the consult, then he will book us for the surgery.
Here is a picture of it for posterities sake. It's blacker than it looks here.
If Ella knew I posted that, she would really appreciate it, I'm sure. lol.
You can see where the dr took a piece out for the biopsy. That was NOT pleasant, let me tell you. It hurt her really bad. The dr said it was like trying to numb a piece of concrete.
Ella is really good humored about the whole thing, though. She is not really nervous at all, even after what she went through at the biopsy.
Being at Children's Hospital after all these years, reminded me of back when I was going there regularly about 15 years ago. It still looks about the same. lol.
I thought this would be a good time to show my x-rays. Can you believe I havent done it before this, Mom? lol.
Here they are...
Before...this was actually a good year before my actual surgery my back got to be a 54 degree curve...
After...he was able to correct it to a 17 degree curve which was the best he had ever been able to do. I think I got this one turned around backwards. lol.
Side view....
There ya have it.
I am very thankful to have had my surgery. I know alot of people that have scoliosis that live with alot of pain. About once a year, I get a little bit of pain. Usually when we move, I lift on stuff that is way to heavy and my back hurts for a few days. But that's about it.

Saturday, we went out to Salt Fork. We are on the lookout for a new lake, since we are trying to move closer to Cambridge. It's going to be hard to beat Lake Isabella, that's for sure.
I took the opportunity to practise some full sun shooting. Shooting in the full sun is, well, not easy. But I did get some of my much sought after lens flare.
Notice the cool chair that I found at a yardsale for $4. It is an old funeral home chair, it has the name on the back. Neat.
I have taken on the challenge of trying to get a shot of Scotty in between the crazy faces, when he looks halfway normal. I didnt succeed this time. lol.
And of course, here's Ella, and the hair that I am way too proud of...
